The plumbing service agreement should include the plumber’s credentials. In almost every state in the country, a plumber will need to have a license.

In Texas, for example, plumbers can obtain an apprentice, tradesman-plumber limited, journeyman or master plumber license to work in the industry. Master plumber licenses are required for those who start their own business.

In Ohio, however, individual journeyman plumbers don’t need a license in the majority of cities. A license will be needed if the plumber chooses to work as a commercial plumbing contractor.

To write a plumbing service agreement, include all of your contact information. Add the start date and the expected end date of the project.

Describe the work you will perform and list what will not be included. You should also clearly list what everything will cost, along with the payment terms. If you offer warranties, state this. Both parties should sign the agreement.
